Day 7... It's been one week...

I hope even if you haven't been online much, that this is or will become a real help for you. I have been enjoying it. I missed actually doing yesterdays devo, oops, I was so exhausted from youth group last night. Last night was awesome! And I have an incredible story about God answering prayer in a powerful way when I see the Tuesday morning crew. Anyway, today we'll look at 1 Timothy chapter 1 and tommorow we'll look at chapter 2. Paul's letters to Timothy are great for people "our" age (I'm including myself. in the big pictue I'm still young) because Paul is writing these letters as an older, experienced Christian, to a younger Christian, trying his best to serve the kingdom. I'ts filled with great advice and truths that we can apply to our lives everyday. Enjoy!

"Even though I was once...I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief." Even as a Christian we can act in unbelief. I'm realizing this more and more and I catch myself doing it. I am so glad he shows me mercy.

"We know that the law is good if one uses it properly." We have to be careful how we talk about and apply God's Word. Many of us and I'm sure I've been guilty too of using God's Word in the wrong way to push my agenda and not the Lord's work. Lord help us use your Word properly.
